I have been lucky in friends either giving or, in this case, lending me some very fine cameras. The Leica M2 is on loan from a friend. It belonged to her father and she had had it serviced, so it’s in beautiful shape. I used it during week 10 to document an nice storm that moved through and for my artist-in-residence work at Elmwood Cemetery.
On the opposite side of this bench are these words: “When good men die their goodness does not perish but lives even though they are gone.”
I found the effect from this lens, the Elmarit 90mm/2.8, interesting. I didn’t notice any haze in the lens so I’m wondering if it’s a characteristic of the lens when shot into sunlight.
More week 10 at my Flickr page.
Very nice, I am going to borrow my brother’s M6 with a 28mm Elmarit. It is a seriously contrasty lens, so hope to get some nice shots with it.

Yes, I’ve noticed that with some other cameras with older lenses. It’s interesting.

Definitely love the dreamy flare on the statue shot, reminds me of childhood portraits of myself and my sister from the 70’s.
