Week #16 The theatre (and a little something else…)

Inge week 16_1

This week I had the chance to photograph in one of the Rotterdam theatres, the Oude Luxor. On Good Friday, the Oude Luxor was open to photographers, to give them a chance to take pictures of it before it is redecorated. Together with my friend Ellen, I deciced to go. I took Dirk with me, loaded with Ilford Delta 3200, and my Praktica B200 that used to belong to my dad, loaded with Kodak Tri-X 400. I set the Praktica to 800 iso, just in case. Ellen and I weren’t the only ones who wanted to photograph the theatre. The many photographers who showed up, were divided into groups, and each group got a tour of the theatre. It was nice to see everything, including the behind the scenes bits such as the dressing rooms. The downside was that each group had a limited amount of time to shoot. That’s not the best thing when you’re shooting pinhole…. Needless to say, I’m not happy with my pinhole shots. 3200 iso wasn’t enough to get good exposures. Luckily I also had the Praktica with me:

Oh yeah, week 16 was also the week in which I made my first cyanotypes!
