I live in a big city and I work in a big city. Every now and then I just long for some peace and quiet. Next to the motorway I take when I drive to work is a beautiful landscape, a typical Dutch one, with small canals, fields, trees and a farm here and there. I sometimes see the sun come up when I drive, and the place looks incredible. It makes me want to stop and take pictures every time. Not such a great idea to do so when you’re on a motorway….
Then I found out I could get closer if I took a narrow road from the airport. On my day off I loaded two pinhole cameras, my Holga and a tripod in the car and started driving again. I parked the car in the middle of nowhere, took out my gear and started shooting.

Looking out over the fields, the sun still rising, made me feel peaceful. I didn’t even notice the noise coming from the motorway behind me.
The first image is part of the Next Best Thing Pinhole project. I’m very excited to be a part of that. 🙂

Just wrote a comment on another post about checking how to make pinhole myself. I’m jealous of these results 🙂
