Week #23: and yet another new toy

I shoot a lot during the week days.  I mean work days.  Yes I do have a day job though so this is limited to before/after work (sometimes) or lunchtime (most often).  This week we had some nice weather so I got out a couple times and walked in the city with a new (to me) camera.  I had been at yet another fleamarket on Sunday and found an Olympus XA3 that I couldn’t resist getting.  This was the test roll for my new toy.

On the first day I started in the city center, near Central Station.  Got this view over the downtown area:

Found this guy near a fountain.  Initially I thought he was washing his feet in the water (turns out he wasn’t).

I then headed to the Namur Gate.

Saint Boniface square, an old tavern/restaurant serving mussels and fries.  Well maybe no mussels in early June, that’s too early.

The next day I went through another area in the old city center.  There was some event going on involving those tents.

One of my favorite corners in town.  New graffiti, and this time even the Devil was on the wall.

Later on Friday, I had to do some business in the Brussels Haven area (http://www.portdebruxelles.be/en/).  I shot a few around the old Tour & Taxis palace which is now renovated and transformed into an office building.

I shot this roll on Polypan F exposed at ISO 50 in my new XA3.  The cartridge wasn’t DX-coded so I used the manual ISO setting (nice that it still has one!).  I developed in R09 1+50 for 13′, scanned and got excellent results from my new little toy.  You might see more rolls coming from it until I find some other stuff…
