I printed! Keeping my promise to myself, I am printing what I *want* to print this year, not what I feel like I *need* to print for an art call. I spent a couple of lovely hours in the darkroom and came out with these.
These are just iphone shots of them, because most are too big to fit on my scanner anyway, but hopefully you are able to get the idea. The prints look much better in person : )
All prints from Kodak Tri-X 120 negatives (out of my Hasselblad 500cm), all on Ilford RC Glossy paper, developed in Dektol.
Hurray! Great start to the year.

Very cool Amy. My first successful 4×5 negatives are drying as we speak and hopefully I’ll find the time this week to do first first large format contact prints.

I’ve only made contact prints from negatives once and they were terrible. Lol. Maybe I’ll try again. Are you happy with your negatives?

There’s an image on them so yes I’m happy. 😉 I can’t really tell if they’re any good as I can’t scan 4×5 with my Canoscan 8800F.

The selig with the tripod is a great one – especially because of the girl and her way to wait for the moment. Congratulations!

Sorry, my device does correct everything into something in German automatically. So here is what I meant: ‘The selfie with the tripod is a great one!”

amy, try using LPD developer. it has a long shelf life and is not toxic either. i use it regularly with ilford fiber and rc paper. works great and delivers great variety of tones depending on dilution.
