Week 13: This and that

Let’s jump ahead to week #13 while I procrastinate instead of developing my rolls for week #10 and #11. For that week I shot a roll of Fomapan 100 in the Minolta SRT303 that Torsten Kathke so kindly lent me. It has a bit of a weird place in my collection. Not completely manual like my Minolta SR-1s but also no aperture priority like the XD7.

On top of that the roll is really grainy for an ISO 100 film and there were what I assumed were drying marks on the film. When I contacted the lab they had a look at the negatives again and told me that this was most likely a defect on the emulsion … Well, let’s believe them for now. After all all other films were fine. :/

  1. Nice results! That’s some creamy bokeh there! I could get lost on that path in the woods…

I actually used this camera twice for my 2015 go around on 52rolls (numbers 30 and 32). I like the SR-Ts a lot and I got thisone because it’s supposedly the most tricked-out model. For some reason though, I always grab my SR-T 100x instead; which is the lowest end camera of them all. There’s no accounting for taste I guess 🙂

    • Thanks! That’s the magic of the lowly 50mm f/1.7. 😉

I’m not sure yet about the camera. It’s quite a bit bigger than the SR-1s but also less sophisticated than the XD7. I will have to use it a few more times to see if I really like it or not.
