This foto was exposed, developed and printed during week 17 of 2016. The mouth of Netarts Bay in Netarts, Oregon with Cape Lookout in the distance very near my house in Oceanside. Kodak Tri-X Developed in Rodinal, Printed on Ilford Matt Fiber Paper. Hassleblad 500CM + 80mm Planar.
love the photo … especially due to the lack of human presence … gives it a very “other worldly” feel 🙂

thnx Ashoke! i chose to move to this location when planning my relocation from the busy San Francisco bay area for that very reason. very few full time residents, beautiful and pristine nature and relatively easy access to an interesting metro area (Portland, OR). i am loving my new home here after almost 3 years. also, lots and lots of great images to be had here!

That’s interesting, Peter, ’cause I’m now having to move from a very quiet village in the Westchester County in NY to Brooklyn!
totally opposite to your situation! Guess I’ll be shooting more of street photos there.

I love this photo. I spent a day on the Oregon coast last “summer” (that’s a relative term in that part of the world) and found it insanely beautiful. I hope to return before my son decides to get the hell out of Oregon and get a real job.
