Week 37 …. Ooops I bought another lens …..

img_20161015_113821Last Saturday I popped into Bridgend to get a long awaited haircut so had a bit of time to pop into my excellent local camera shop for a nice chat.

I am not sure if any of you reading this are like me but when I am alone in a camera shop (without the wife) I some how seem to go home with more than I left the house with.

This time it was a mint Nikon 50mm f1.4D.

Now I already have the 50mm f1.8D that I use on my manual focus Nikon slr’s as it has an Aperture ring and also have the 50mm f1.4G afs that I can use on my Dslr’s and also the F100 & F80, but as it does not have the Aperture ring I can only use it in Shutter Priority/Program on my F4s.

So this lens will fit all the Nikon’s I have … so that was my excuse to the wife anyway 😉

I already had a roll of Agfa Vista 200 in the F100 so I popped on the new lens and off we went for a nice walk.

The lens performed great to be honest … no problems … focussed quick and was pretty sharp too, I will try it on my D600 to see how sharp it really is.

Here are some of the images ….

Thanks for looking…..

  2. Sure it was an ooops! But keep in mind, you always have one more lens/camera than you need, but one less than you want! As long as you follow that rule, it’s OK.

    Why are pigs so cute?

  3. Love the pigs. I am also very glad I have no digital rigs as it clearly leads even further down the rabbit hole. As it is, if it doesn’t focus manually I can’t buy it. Not that this rules out many many purchases….
