Roll 9-10/52 Japan, the great escape part 5

Today I’m sharing 2 rolls instead of 1, for two reasons: Aforementioned image overlap, and a useful visual comparison; since these were shot in the same location, at the same time, in the same conditions.
Before I continue with the comparison, some info on where we were that day.
Staying in Kyoto, we hired bikes the previous day and rode from central Kyoto to Arashiyama, about an 45-60 min ride. We hit the bamboo forest first, then went up to the hill to see the lookout with its large family of monkeys lazing about, and following gravity down hill, took a stroll near the river flowing adjacent to the town. Day well spent. We rode back at a lazy pace, happy to get lost in the night streets on the way, with no-where to be except for all you can eat bbq place later that night. All these images were once again shot hand-held using the Mamiya 645 super with the versatile 55mm F2.8, interchanging between different film backs as the need arises, and simply to help along my visual curiosity. Helps with the learning curve to experiment with different film in the same settings in my opinion.
I think abandoning 35mm for medium format during trips with vast expanses and time on my hands might be the way forward, the tonal range one can capture, and the sharpness; damn.
First: Portra 400.
