Yeah yeah, I know its still November and believe me I’m a stickler for Christmas movies and mince pies are not allowed until December 1st onwards.
However Ilford photo ran a little competition to produce a cover for thier Christmas cards shot on Ilford film.
Now unfortunately I got ill (man-flu) so completly ran out of time to submit anything and in fairness what I have done was a little rushed so wouldn’t have been in contention. But here are the images I managed to get (lab scans, no edit) and I quite like some of them
These are shot using my Olympus OM1 and my favourite film that I have been neglecting lately Ilford XP2 400 Super, I absolutely love this film. Images are taken at Somerset House and Covent Garden London.
I think you can easily recycle that last image, perhaps on Facebook?, as a big fat hint as to what you want to find under the tree at Christmas.

Film is always a welcome gift and that hint has already been made

Looks great! Do you use or can you recommend any filters for use with b&w? Mine are looking flat, even when pushed.

I tend to use a red or yellow filter to try and get better contrast
