What with the poor weather, work, the FP4Party stuff and Christmas fast approaching I am way behind with my 52 Rolls posts.
I have 4 other rolls still to dev/scan and this roll is technically week 46 but as it was the 1st time I have ever shot this film I decided to process it before the others ( I know its slightly cheating but its only the running order) Anyway back to the Neopan ….. I absolutely love it …. the sharpness … the contrast and the grain are gorgeous, I can’t believe that I have never tried it before.
This was 35mm shot on my Nikon F100 with the 50mm f1.4 and the level of detail in the scans is superb, I bet it looks even better in 120.I shot this roll over about 2 weeks so there is a nice mix of slightly different subjects and lighting/weather which gave the film a good test and I can definitely say I will be buying more.
Thanks for looking…..

Very nice. I was working with some scans from Delta 400 today, and thinking why don’t I shoot more Neopan Acros? (Can you tell the the Delta 400 was not quite cutting it?). Such a nice film, if I had any in the fridge, it would be my next roll.

Lovely images. I am in general not a fan of slower flims (as a lot of times I don’t have time to focus properly…), but I tried this stuff during the summer, and it was very nice. Still have one roll left, waiting until the sun comes out. If I may ask, Tim, what is your developer?

My goto dev is ilfotecHC … I have tried most but keep coming back to it 🙂

Thanks Tim! I understand this stuff is similar to HC110, which I have used a lot. It is very nice indeed.

Sorry for the other question, but are results from DD-X really better than ilfotec-HC / HC110? I was wondering if I should try…

I used ddx quite a bit but I found the grain a bit harsh when pushing .. ilfotecHC gives great contrast and lovely grain even at 3200 … it’s so versatile

That’s exactly the information I need :-).

No worries … I like good contrast and ilfotecHC gives a nice balance between the shadows/highlights especially with my favourite HP5
