This week we take a mid-winter walk along Boulder Creek near the Walden Ponds. Now I need to qualify the use of ‘Walden Ponds” as this is not Thoreau’s famous location, but a series of flooded gravel pits. Despite their ‘unromantic’ origins, these ponds provide a welcoming habitat for migrating birds. We’ll visit the ponds later this summer. But for now, our stroll:
Some reflections (cropped from 645 format)
and the classic “shadow self portrait”
Tech Info: Fuji GA645Zi Camera, Lomography ISO 400 print film; developed and scanned by Old School Photo Lab. I have to say that I like the LOMO 400. So this will be my go to C-41 color film. Time to order some more.
I used to work in Boulder. The creek is a nice place for a lunchtime walk. Can’t say I miss the commute though. Nice pics.

I’ve never tried Lomo film before, because the weird color balance films never interested me. Thanks for the Looks and the Likes!

Nice warm tone to the shots. I’m trying to remember, but I think its pretty good representation of the color of the light that day.
