Wk 6&7 (2017): Misfire

One of my favorite B&W films from last year’s 52 rolls was Fujifilm Neopan 100 Acros. I loved the tonal range in other people’s photographs. Since I had never tried it, I decided to get a five pack and conduct a direct comparison with Ilford Delta 100 Pro. Unfortunately I had a developing issue and the shots ended up being severely underdeveloped.

Notice the density of the two rolls in the proof sheets compared with the 4×5 negatives next to them. On a whim I decided to try scanning the images anyway to see what came out. To my astonishment, the scanner was able to put out serviceable images from these negatives.

The first set is of some abandoned buildings on open space land in Boulder Colorado.

These are from the industrial section of downtown Denver.

This last set was taken at the Rocky Mountain Arsenal.

Images were shot on Fujifilm Neopan 100 Acros using a Mamiya 6. No filters. Developed in Clayton F76+ developer, and scanned using an Epson V700 flatbed scanner.
