Advertised as Dames, Death and Depravity, Hearsecon is a four day celebration of all things Hearse, sponsored by the Denver Hearse Club.
That afternoon, I shot three rolls of Ilford HP5+. I exposed the film at an EI of 200, and developed normally in PMK Pyro. The images where then scanned on an Epson V700 flat bed scanner.
First roll focused on some of the death themed art added to the hearses.
The second roll I focused on car details.
Then some people watching. I was just captivated by this woman’s boots.
The third roll was a grab bag of what ever was left.
Great post, love the detailed/abstract shots! Nice b&w textures and tonality.

You’re the second person to post photos here from this event. Looks like a ton of fun. I love going to event which involve people living out their fantasies and just having fun. Of course we have ComicCon here but it’s become such a media and celebrity event that the fun amateur dress up stuff is not a big part. I’d rather stay home and search on line for hearse conventions 🙂

The secret is that we go to these events together. The folks at the Hearse events are true goths. Its not dress up for them like most folks at a comic con. Somewhere on their home site is an essay about being a middle aged goth.
