A friend had a backyard birthday party, and I brought my Canon Elan SLR and a 20mm f/1.8 lens, which I mostly shot at medium apertures.
I got the film (Kodak Gold 200) developed at the drug store for about $3 (no prints) and scanned them on an Epson v500.
It was a fun summer day. Salmon, wine, olives, dip, wine, beer & friends.
The 20mm isn’t the sharpest lens, but I like wide pictures more than sharp ones.
I try to capture people’s personalities in candid photos. Somehow my friends put up with this.
Some very curious distortion from the lens in a few of the shots.
