Roll 43 – a new camera. Or “I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship.”

I bought an Olympus OM-1n. And I think I am in love.

Roll 43 was the roll in which I fell in love with a camera. Yes. I see the light. I see what all the fuss is about. I think this may be the perfect camera.

Here are some shots taken on Mt Tabor in Portland, Oregon.

    • ha! yeah, I totally understand where you’re coming from there…:) Honestly, I am tempted to get rid of all of my other 35mm cameras. I love this camera that much…

  1. I have an OM-2n and enjoy shooting with it. It has one of the most advanced light meters of the time period, TTL metering right at the film plane. Otherwise it is similar to the 1n (except batteries required). Great size SLR.

  2. As you know, I love mine too. Ron just scored on two more plus several lenses, extenders, cases and 10 rolls of film for an absolute bargain. We only had to drive to Bend to pick it all up. Now we each have one with another spare.

  3. I always enjoyed the OM-1 it was one of my favorites to sell (back in the camera store days.) I always made a friend of the customer (I would not steer them wrong) – Feels natural in the hand and biggest brightest viewfinder bar none! Unfortunately I was compelled to purchase Nikon for the commercial gig. Enjoy that baby-smooth winding mechanism 😉 Cheers!
